**What you’ll do**

SAP aims to contribute an Open Reference Architecture (ApeiroRA (https://apeirora.eu/) ) for a secure and sustainable cloud edge infrastructure that includes intelligent optimization methods for data transparency and security.

This reference infrastructure, aspired by the EU IPCEI-CIS (https://www.bmwk.de/Redaktion/EN/Artikel/Industry/ipcei-cis.html) program (Important Project of Common European Interest – Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure and Services), shall be the basis for future software development and a prerequisite for a pan-European cloud edge infrastructure.

SAP and partners, therefore, have founded the NeoNephos (https://neonephos.org) foundation as part of the Linux Foundation Europe.

SAP is contributing to this public funded initiative with both experienced employees from its existing workforce and new hires.

If you are interested in representing SAP’s and other contributions as well as further development of open-source solutions and standards, interoperability, efficiency, and sustainability in the context of NeoNephos and IPCEI-CIS, you should consider applying.

As part of the “NeoNephos (https://neonephos.org) Enablement” team you will represent Gardener (https://gardener.cloud/) , GardenLinux (https://gardenlinux.org/) , Iron Core (https://ironcore.dev/) , OpenMCP (https://github.com/openmcp-project) and other projects from the foundation at conferences and industry events by showcasing capabilities and opportunities, will focus on identifying and onboarding new adopters, as well as maintaining a stable community.

On top of that, in your role as “Development Expert and Cloud Native Ambassador” you are expected to understand, extend, directly contribute, and influence existing projects, be involved in the selection and development of new projects, setup demo environments, provide technical support and guidance to new adopters, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal use of NeoNephos projects.

**Adopter Engagement:**

+ Identify and engage potential new adopters of Gardener and other NeoNephos projects.
+ Develop and execute onboarding strategies to ensure successful adoption and integration.
+ Provide technical support and guidance to new adopters, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal use of Gardener and other NeoNephos projects

**Public Engagement:**

+ Represent Gardener & NeoNephos projects at industry conferences, meetups, and events (such as from the Linux Foundation and CNCF).
+ Deliver compelling presentations and pitches to showcase the benefits and capabilities of Gardener.
+ Build and maintain relationships with open-source communities, partners, and key stakeholders.

**Technical Engagement**

+ Influence technology standards and guidelines in NeoNephos and CNCF, engage in Project Steering (https://gardener.cloud/community/steering/#project-steering) and Kubernetes SIG (https://github.com/kubernetes/community/blob/master/sig-list.md)

+ Organize the setup of the SAP ApeiroRA Showroom on a regular basis to demonstrate the latest features and innovations from the community projects for the NeoNephos community partners and prospects.
+ Collaborate with the development teams to ensure that the most current and impactful aspects of NeoNephos projects are presented.

Gather feedback from the community and

showroom participants to reflect in future development and enablement strategies.

**What you bring /**
**Required skills and competencies**

+ Tech-skills:

+ Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Linux and cloud-native technologies.

Linux Foundation certifications (e.g. CKAD (https://training.linuxfoundation.org/certification/certified-kubernetes-application-developer-ckad/) / CKA (https://training.linuxfoundation.org/certification/certified-kubernetes-administrator-cka/) / Kubestronaut Program (https://www.cncf.io/training/kubestronaut/) ) are a plus.
+ Solid experience developing with Go Lang.

Contributions in CNCF or other open-source projects is a plus.
+ Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, GCP and Azure is a plus.

+ Communication Skills:
+ Passion for open-source technology and community engagement.

Ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences, from technical experts to business leaders.
+ Strong interpersonal and public communication and presentation skills, fluent in English (written and verbal); ability to build and maintain relationships.
+ General Skills:
+ A degree in computer science, software engineering or similar (Bachelor/Master)
+ Excellent team player, communicative, self-organized

**WORK EXPERIENCE**

+ 5 years of experience in organizing of and presenting at public industry or community events
+ 5 years of experience in a corporate development organization
+ Profound technology and platform development background with own hands-on experience and a proven track record
